LinkedIn Jobs Filter
Clean up your LinkedIn job search.
A Chrome extension that hides or highlights the job listings that waste your time: jobs you already applied to, promoted posts, reposts and more. Works on LinkedIn’s new AI-powered job search and the classic search.
What you can filter
Every filter can be set to Hide, Highlight or None, independently.
Your activity
- Applied — Jobs you already applied to, in 15+ languages
- Clicked apply — Applied on the company site but not confirmed on LinkedIn
- Viewed — Jobs you already opened
- Saved — Jobs you saved on LinkedIn
Posting type
- Promoted — Sponsored listings
- Easy Apply — Jobs with LinkedIn’s one-click apply
- Reposted — Listings employers keep reposting*
- 100+ applicants — Jobs where you’d be one of many*
Job insights
- Top applicant — “You’d be a top applicant”
- Connections or alumni — People you know work there
- Not verified — No verified badge from LinkedIn
More
- Workplace — On-site, Hybrid or Remote
- Keywords — Any word in the job, like “senior” or “staffing”
- Companies — Specific companies by name
* On LinkedIn’s AI-powered search, reposts and applicant counts only appear inside a job’s details, so these filters apply once you open the job, and the extension remembers it for next time.
How to use
- Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it to your toolbar.
- Open LinkedIn Jobs and search as usual.
- Click the extension icon and set each filter to Hide, Highlight or None. Changes apply instantly.
- Use the “X jobs hidden” pill at the bottom right of LinkedIn to peek at what was filtered.
FAQ
The extension isn’t doing anything. What should I check?
Refresh the LinkedIn tab. Chrome doesn’t update tabs that were already open when the extension was installed or updated; the popup shows a Refresh button when this is the case. Also check that “Enabled” is on in the popup.
Why is a job I just opened dimmed instead of hidden?
Opening a job can make it match a Hide filter, for example it turns “Viewed”. Rather than making it vanish while you read it, the extension dims it. It’s hidden the next time you load the page.
A job I applied to on the company’s website isn’t hidden.
LinkedIn only marks it “Applied” after you answer “Yes” to “Did you finish applying?”. Until then, use the Clicked apply filter, which catches jobs whose “Apply on company website” button you clicked.
Does it work on the new AI-powered job search?
Yes, since version 1.3.0. Reposted and 100+ applicants apply once you open a job there, because LinkedIn doesn’t show them on the job cards.
What data does it collect?
None. Everything runs in your browser. Your settings and a list of job ID numbers stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. See the privacy policy for details.
A label isn’t being detected, or LinkedIn changed something.
LinkedIn changes its pages often. Email me with what you see (a screenshot helps) and I’ll update the extension.
