Overview
LinkedIn Jobs Filter is a browser extension that helps you filter job listings on LinkedIn. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Data Collection
We do NOT collect or transmit any personal data. The little the extension needs to remember is stored only on your own device, as listed below.
What We Store Locally
The extension only stores your preferences locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.sync):
- Your filter settings (which filters are enabled/disabled)
- Your keyword list
- Your highlight color preference
- Extension on/off state
- The ID numbers of LinkedIn jobs whose "Apply on company website" button you clicked, so the "Clicked apply" filter can recognize them later (stored with
chrome.storage.local, on this device only; the most recent 5,000 are kept). No job titles, companies or other details are stored. - For jobs you open on LinkedIn's AI-powered search, whether the job page said it was reposted or had over 100 applicants, keyed by the job's ID number, so the Reposted and 100+ applicants filters still apply on later visits (also
chrome.storage.local, this device only, most recent 5,000).
All data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to any external servers.
Data Usage
- Your settings are used only to filter job listings on LinkedIn
- All processing happens locally in your browser
- No data is shared with third parties
- No analytics or tracking is performed
Permissions
The extension requires the following permissions:
- Storage: To save your preferences locally on your device
- Active tab: To check whether the open tab is a LinkedIn page, so the popup can offer to refresh it after the extension is updated
- Access to LinkedIn.com: To filter job listings on LinkedIn pages
Third-Party Services
This extension does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
